  • This paper presents the experimental characterization of a microwave phase shifter based on photonic components, based on a commercial telecom IQ-modulator. Microwave signals between 4 and 12 GHz can be phase shifted from 0 up to 360º, but the system suffers from lack of stability due the bias shifts of the modulators.
