RESUMEN Paciente varón de 54 años de edad, con antecedente de Síndrome de Guillain-Barré, recibe tratamiento con Gabapentina. Cuatro meses antes de su ingreso presenta anemia hemolítica autoinmune, recibió Prednisona. Al momento de ingreso presenta disnea a medianos esfuerzos, astenia, palpitaciones, hiporexia, hipotensión, disminución de peso. Western Blott resultó positivo para HTVL-1. Se agrega temblor en manos. Se reporta un caso de Síndrome de Guillain-Barré y Anemia hemolítica en un contexto de una infección por virus linfotrópico T humano tipo I. ABSTRACT Male patient, 54 years old, with a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome, treated with Gabapentin. Four months before admission presents autoimmune hemolytic anemia, treated with prednisone. At the time of admission to middle effort dyspnea presents, asthenia, palpitations, hyporexia, hypotension, weight decreased. Western blot test was positive for HTLV-1. Shaking hands is added. A case of Guillain-Barré syndrome and hemolytic anemia is reported in a context of infection with human T lymphotropic virus type I.
