    ¿Por qué hablamos de Inteligencia Artificial? ¿Por qué ahora y por qué en relación con los archivos? Si el ser humano es el único ser vivo que ha sido capaz de externalizar la memoria fuera del propio cuerpo y fijar y compartir el conocimiento más allá de la muerte, aplicar criterios de eficiencia a la memoria generada, acumulada y externalizada entra en la lógica de la evolución humana.

    El texto aporta diversas experiencias del proyecto InterPARES Trust AI y el Archivo Municipal de Girona, y ofrece algunas reflexiones sobre el momento actual y las tendencias de futuro.

    Why do we talk about Artificial Intelligence? Why now and why in relation with the archives? If the human being is the only living being that has been able to externalize the memory outside its body and fix and share knowledge beyond death, applying efficiency criteria to the generated, accumulated and externalized memory meets the logic of human evolution.

    The text provides several experiences from the InterPARES Trust AI project and the Girona Municipal Archive, and offers some reflections on the current moment and future trends.
