Papa Francisco e as pessoas LGBTQI+: mudanças e perspectivas

    This article seeks to show Pope Francis’ position, right from the beginning of his pontificate, and what he expects from the Roman Catholic Church in relation to LGBT people. In order to do that, some documents of his pontificate are analyzed in relation to this theme. Among them: Community of Community: A new Parish, Preparatory for the III Assembly, III Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, XIV Ordinary General Assembly, Encyclical Letter Laudato Si, Post-Synodal Exhortation Amoris Latitia etc. Then, we try to understand the meaning of Francisco's gestures, and to understand which church he wants. What changes and perspectives may occur between the Church and LGBT people, based on the Second Vatican Council, which the pope attempts to bring back, and the unconditional love of God found in the gospels. It is important to remember that in Francis' pontificate, dialoguing, welcoming, integrating, and finding points to come together in favor of life, especially the lives of the most vulnerable, is always very important.

    Nesse artigo procura-se mostrar o posicionamento do Papa Francisco, desde o início do seu pontificado, e o que ele espera da Igreja Católica Apostólica Romana, em relação às pessoas LGBT. Para isso alguns documentos de seu pontificado são analisados em relação a este tema. Entre eles: Comunidade de Comunidade: Uma nova Paróquia, Preparatório para a III Assembléia, III Assembléia Geral Estraordinária do Sínodo dos Bispos, XIV Assembléia Geral Ordinária, Carta Encíclica Laudato Si, Exortação pós-sinodal Amoris Latitia etc. Em seguida, busca-se entender o significado dos gestos de Francisco, e perceber qual é a igreja que ele deseja. Quais as mudanças e perspectivas que podem ocorrer, entre Igreja e pessoas LGBT, tendo como base o Concílio Vaticano II, que o papa tenta resgatar, e o amor incondicional de Deus encontrado nos evangelhos. É importante lembrar que no pontificado de Francisco, acolher, integrar, dialogar, encontrar pontos de união em favor da vida, principalmente, da vida dos mais vulneráveis, é sempre muito importante.
