Resumen de Phyllachora stahlii (Chardon) Stevenson, parásito de Ficus goldmanii: nuevo registro para Costa Rica

Phyllachora stahlii (Chardon) Stevenson, is reported for the first time as parasitie on Ficus goldmanii Standl. in Costa Rica. Wide field observations seem to confirm the species-specific relationship between parasite and host. The macroscopic effects of the fungus on the leaves of the host and the microscopic sexual stages (perithecia) are described and illustrated.
