This paper provides a descriptive analysis of the applications of experimental creative drama and video workshops to the field of English language teaching, namely to Business English. Claims made here about the uses of creative drama and its effectiveness as a technique are based on creative drama workshops videotaped at the English Philology Department of the University of Alicante. Participants in the sessions included elementary and intermediate students of Business English. Our goal is to highlight those communicative and interactive conditions provided by creative drama and video activities that can foster students’ motivation and hence their proficiency in Business English.
