Resumen de Movilidad humana irregular en Panamá: seguridad y trato humanitario

Este artículo recoge la compleja situación que se teje alrededor de la migración irregular. El drama humano que se vive al transitar por el punto mas difícil de la ruta: La selva del Darién: se presenta además, la razones que obligan a las personas a migrar de diferentes países, la incertidumbre que enfrentan a lo largo del trayecto, la respuesta humanitaria y la asistencia que les brinda Panamá a través del Servicio Nacional de Fronteras: los rescates, de los que no logran el objetivo, los albergues, los menores no acompañados, los delitos al rededor de este fenómeno, como la trata y el tráfico de seres humanos, entre otros temas que abren a la perspectiva de una realidad que no solo impacta este continente, si no que está presente y vigente en otras latitudes. La investigación se realizó bajo el paradigma cualitativo, a través del análisis de contenido, observaciones in situ y entrevistas a informantes claves relacionados con los procesos de atención en Panamá de los migrantes.

This article addresses the complex situation surrounding irregular migration. The human drama unfolds as individuals traverse the most challenging point of the route: the Darien Jungle. Additionally, we present the reasons compelling them to migrate, the uncertainty they face throughout the journey, the humanitarian response, and the assistance provided by Panama through the National Border Service. This includes rescues for those who do not achieve their goal, shelters, unaccompanied minors, and crimes associated with this phenomenon, such as human trafficking. These topics shed light on a reality that not only impacts this continent but is also present and relevant in other regions. The research was conducted under the qualitative paradigm, employing content analysis, on-site observations, and interviews with key informants related to the attention processes of migrants in Panama.
