    Desde hace algún tiempo en Venezuela está aconteciendo un problema con el aprendizaje de la matemática a nivel universitario, la cual se ve reflejada en una cantidad importante de estudiantes aplazados y desertores en los primeros lapsos académicos; donde dependiendo de la institución, oscila entre un 25% a un 50% de reprobados. Ante esta problemática se buscó entender el proceso de aprendizaje matemático considerando las estructuras conceptuales, metodológicas, actitudinales y axiológicas que construyen los educandos para aprender. Esto permitió elaborar un constructo desde una perspectiva constructivista cooperativa, colocando al educando en el centro del proceso educativo; recurriendo para ello, a la práctica de resolución de problemas y las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC’s); logrando de esta manera romper los límites de espacio y tiempo que están vigentes en la educación universitaria actual.

    For some time in Venezuela a problem has been occurring with the learning of mathematics at the university level, which is reflected in a significant number of deferred students and dropouts in the first academic periods; where depending on the institution, it ranges from 25% to 50% failures. Faced with this problem, it was sought to understand the mathematical learning process considering the conceptual, methodological, attitudinal and axiological structures that students build to learn. This allowed the elaboration of a construct from a cooperative constructivist perspective, placing the student at the center of the educational process; resorting to this, to the practice of problem solving and Information and Communication Technologies (TICs); thus managing to break the limits of space and time that are in force in current university education.
