    El objetivo de esta investigación ha sido determinar el impacto formativo que tiene el uso del internet en los estudiantes de secundaria - bachillerato de la población de Ixiamas en el Norte de la Paz Bolivia. La existencia o ausencia de relaciones de manejo efectivo y aceptación de esta herramienta que permita entender su uso en una periferia. El conocimiento de la realidad que se ha obtenido en esta investigación con estudiantes, profesores y otros participantes sobre el interés en el uso de esta nueva tecnología relacionada a la educación, ha permitido tener una panorámica de la realidad actual y plantear adaptaciones futuras del uso de esta herramienta, esto lo hemos logrado a través de una metodología mixta y descriptiva.

    Entre las conclusiones obtenidas en esta investigación destacamos que el acceso a internet con el que cuenta la población de estudio y el uso que realizan tanto profesores como estudiantes, actualmente muy relacionado con redes sociales, pero no así con acceso a educación virtual o a distancia.

    The objective of this research has been to determine the formative impact that the use of the Internet has on secondary - high school students from the population of Ixiamas in the North of La Paz, Bolivia. The existence or absence of relationships of effective management and acceptance of this tool that allows understanding its use in a periphery. The knowledge of the reality that has been obtained in this research with students, teachers and other participants about the interest in the use of this new technology related to education, has allowed to have an overview of the current reality and to propose future adaptations of the use of technology. this tool, we have achieved this through a mixed and descriptive methodology.

    Among the conclusions obtained in this research, we highlight that the access to the internet that the study population has and the use made by both teachers and students, currently closely related to social networks, but not with access to virtual or distance education.
