    Este trabajo analiza la evolución del sistema internacional desde el final de la Guerra Fría. El objetivo perseguido es averiguar si se ha producido un cambio desde un sistema westfaliano a otro de carácter jerárquico. Para ello, en primer lugar, abordaremos la cuestión de qué es un sistema internacional y cuáles son sus elementos desde el realismo estructural de Waltz. Por tanto, nos centraremos en la estructura del sistema como elemento definitorio del mismo y especialmente en la relación anarquía frente a jerarquía y la distribución de las capacidades como elementos de evolución de nuestro sistema. En segundo lugar, usaremos los tipos de sistemas de acción establecidos por Kaplan para entender cómo se operan los cambios en los sistemas internacionales y cuáles pueden ser las configuraciones posibles y determinar su correspondencia con los diferentes momentos del sistema internacional contemporáneo.

    Ce travail analyse l’évolution du système international depuis la fin de la Guerre Froide. L’objectif poursuivi est de déterminer si un changement a eu lieu d’un système westphalien à un autre de caractère hiérarchique. Pour cela, nous aborderons d’abord la question de ce qu’est un système international et quels sont ses éléments du point de vue du réalisme structurel de Waltz. Nous nous concentrerons donc sur la structure du système comme élément définissant celui-ci et surtout sur la relation anarchie contre hiérarchie et la distribution des capacités comme éléments d’évolution de notre système. En second lieu, nous utiliserons les types de systèmes d’action établis par Kaplan pour comprendre comment les changements opèrent dans les systèmes internationaux et quelles peuvent être les configurations possibles et déterminer leur correspondance avec les différents moments du système international contemporain.

    This paper analyses the evolution of the international system since the end of the Cold War. The objective is to find out whether there has been a change from a Westphalian system to a hierarchical one. To this end, we will first address the question of what an international system is and what its elements are from Waltz's structural realism. Therefore, we will focus on the structure of the system as a defining element of the system and especially on the relation of anarchy versus hierarchy and the power distribution as elements of evolution of our system. Secondly, we will use the types of action systems established by Kaplan to understand how changes in international systems operate and what are the possible configurations and determine their correspondence with the different moments of the contemporary international system.
