  En este artículo se investiga las funciones de variación acotada. Se estudian las propiedades básicas de estas funciones; en particular, se analizan los conjuntos es continua en es diferenciable en , donde I es un intervalo de    es una función de variación acotada en I. También se estudia la relación entre los conceptos de variación acotada y continuidad absoluta y se presentan algunos ejemplos que ilustran la teoría desarrollada en este trabajo.

  In this paper, the functions of bounded variation are investigated. The basic properties of these functions are studied, in particular, the sets is continuous in is differentiable in , are analyzed, where I is an Interval of    is a function of bounded variation in I. The relationship between the concepts of bounded variation and absolute continuity is also studied, and some examples are presented that illustrate the theory developed in this work.
