Acústica de los Teatros-Circo en España

    Se podría establecer que los Teatro-Circo son un tipo particular de espacios escénicos que se caracterizan fundamentalmente porque es posible cambiar la configuración funcional típica como teatro, donde la caja escénica se acopla a la sala principal de forma cuasi-circular y estética habitualmente modernista de finales del siglo XIX, a una configuración más circense donde se adapta el patio de butacas para montar mecánicamente un escenario sobre la planta central del recinto.

    Este trabajo de investigación parte de la recopilación de información de los Teatros-Circo en España que dispongan actualmente de esta denominación, bien por su doble génesis funcional como teatro y como circo o bien hayan conservado esta denominación heredada a lo largo de los años, para llevar a cabo su caracterización acústica individual según un procedimiento normativo. Tras una investigación previa, se podría establecer que, según el criterio anterior, actualmente hay un conjunto objetivo de seis Teatros-Circo que se sucedieron entre finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX y que tras sucesivas reformas permanecen operativos a día de hoy en España.

    It could be established that Circus-Theater are a particular type of stage spaces that are fundamentally characterized because it is possible to change the typical functional configuration as a theater, where the stage box is attached to the main room in a quasi-circular shape and usually modernist aesthetics of late 19th century, to a more circus configuration where the stalls were adapted to mechanically set up a stage on the central floor of the venue.

    This research work is based on the compilation of information on the Circus-Theaters in Spain that currently have this name, either due to their double functional genesis as a theater and as a circus or have retained this inherited name over the years, to carry out their individual acoustic characterization according to a normative procedure. After a prior investigation, it could be established that, according to the previous criterion, there is currently an objective set of six Circus-Theaters that occurred between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and that after successive reforms remain operational today in Spain.
