Resumen de Evolución y desenlace del Humanismo en el siglo XXI: una perspectiva jurídica

El Humanismo, tras el medievo, y con algunas insignes figuras que entonces ya se anticiparon, supuso la apertura de puertas y ventanas, antes herméticamente cerradas, a través de las que entró en la sociedad la luz del conocimiento multidisciplinar, sobre la base de la Cultura Clásica y de la Filosofía, así como la salida del dogma y del mito, para posicionar al ser humano en el centro del saber. El florecimiento de la cultura permitió a la humanidad llegar a pensar en lo trascendente sin tener que recurrir a la revelación, sino mediante la razón crítica. A través de la obra y el pensamiento de eminentes personalidades, recopilados en el presente ensayo, se pone en valor el conocimiento humanístico como llave para el futuro de la sociedad. La conclusión del autor, sin embargo, es que desde finales del siglo XX y en los albores del siglo XXI, el estudio del mundo clásico y del saber filosófico ha sido postergados en los sistemas educativos, en detrimento del más puro utilitarismo, abocando a un periodo de oscuridad, bajo el letargo proporcionado por una tecnología omnicomprensiva y la acrítica aceptación del carácter económico y materialista de la vida.

Humanism, after the Middle Ages, and with some distinguished figures who were already ahead of their time, meant the opening of doors and windows, previously hermetically closed, through which the light of multidisciplinary knowledge entered society, based on Classical Culture and Philosophy, as well as the departure from dogma and myth, to position the human being at the center of knowledge. The blossoming of culture allowed humanity to come to think about the transcendent without having to resort to revelation, but through critical reason. Through the work and thoughts of eminent personalities, compiled in this essay, humanistic knowledge is valued as a key to the future of society. The author's conclusion, however, is that since the end of the 20th century and the dawn of the 21st century, the study of the classical world and philosophical knowledge have been postponed in the educational systems, at the expense of of the purest utilitarianism, leading to a period of darkness, under the lethargy provided by an all-encompassing technology and the uncritical acceptance of the economic and materialistic nature of life.
