Resumen de «No tinc paraules per descriure'm»: notes sobre traducció poètica i gènere al segle XXI

Una de les millors vies de divulgació d'una literatura és la traducció. I la producció poètica no n'és una excepció, però sí un cas especial, a causa de les particularitats pròpies del gènere. Aquest text es fixa en les dues primeres dècades del segle XXI i es demana quines autores s'estan traduint i per què, quines persones i institucions hi ha al darrere, com és el mercat i quin és l'estat de salut del conjunt del sistema. Posteriorment, centrem la mirada en uns reculls concrets per analitzar els mecanismes i les estratègies que s'han emprat per transitar entre les dificultats de la traducció del llenguatge poètic, i veurem, mitjançant alguns exemples reeixits i altres de més problemàtics, com no es donen dues solucions iguals.

One of the best ways to spread literature is through translation. And poetic production is not an exception, but a special case, due to the particularities of the genre. This text focuses on the first two decades of the 21st century and asks which authors are being translated and why, which people and institutions are behind them, what the market is like and what is the state of health of the system as a whole. Afterwards, we focus on specific collections to analyse the mechanisms and strategies that have been used to navigate through the difficulties of translating poetic language, while seeing how no two solutions are the same through some successful examples and others more problematic.
