Este artículo examina los usos de la memoria revolucionaria por parte de Lenin y, con ello, se plantea cuestiones como la de su “jacobinismo”. Para ello estudia cómo cultivó el recuerdo de la Revolución Francesa, especialmente intenso en el contexto las revoluciones de 1905 y 1917, y cómo estuvo presente en sus disputas con figuras como Plejánov o Trotsky. Por otro lado, también se analiza cómo Lenin combinó esa memoria en otros momentos con la de la Comuna de París y cómo ambas se complementaron a nivel práctico. Asimismo, se estudia cómo el papel político de esos pasados revolucionarios varió tras el éxito de la Revolución de Octubre y se presta atención a la memoria del Terror. De esta forma se muestra cómo la relación que estableció con esos episodios de referencia del pasado se definió por su carácter pragmático, coyuntural, complejo y plural.

This article examines Lenin's uses of revolutionary memory and, in so doing, raises questions such as that of his “Jacobinism”. It studies how he cultivated the memory of the French Revolution, especially intense in the context of the revolutions of 1905 and 1917, and how it was present in his disputes with figures such as Plekhanov or Trotsky. On the other hand, it also analyzes how Lenin combined that memory at other times with that of the Paris Commune and how both complemented each other on a practical level. It also studies how the political role of these revolutionary pasts changed after the success of the October Revolution and pays attention to the memory of the Terror. In this way, it shows how the relationship it established with these past reference episodes was defined by its pragmatic, conjunctural, complex and plural character.
