Este artículo pretende analizar el funcionamiento real del sistema de designación de los principales responsables de la inspección educativa y ver el impacto que esos procedimientos tienen en la gobernanza de la misma. Así mismo pretende formular unas propuestas concretas para garantizar la idoneidad de las personas que ejercen estas responsabilidades, con el objetivo de mejorar su eficacia y poder responder mejor a los retos que tiene la Inspección Educativa del futuro.

This article aims to analyzethe real functioning of the System for appointing the main people responsiblefor the educationalinspection and see the impact that these procedures have on its governance. Likewise, it aims to formulate specific proposals to guarantee the suitability of the people who exercise these responsibilities, with the aim of improving their effectiveness and being able to better respond to the challenges that the educational inspection of the futurehas.
