  In this work, the authors offer a historical review of thearbitration function of the Court of Justice of the AndeanCommunity, how and under what terms it was granted, as wellas the obstacles that have prevented its full exercise.Furthermore, it compares it with the arbitration function of theSouthern Common Market and the Union of Southern Nations,analyzing alternatives to be repowered.
