Trascendencia histórica de la Campana de la Demajagua para el estudiantado universitario

    Introducción: La necesidad del perfeccionamiento del conocimiento de la historia y su acercamiento al pensamiento del Líder Histórico de la Revolución, hace que se indague sobre la participación del éste joven en la vida sociopolítica del país en su época estudiantil, para lograr un acercamiento a las exigencias de la universidad actual. Oportuno fue, la iniciativa de la Federación Estudiantil Universitaria (FEU) en el 2007, de rememorar un hecho histórico de trascendental importancia para conocer de cerca la gesta emprendida por los universitarios encabezados por Fidel Castro, en la defensa de un símbolo patrio que marca el inicio de las guerras por la independencia de Cuba. Objetivo: revelar la importancia de la acción del líder histórico y su trascendencia para los jóvenes universitarios, como fundamento al conocimiento de la Historia de Cuba, en particular el avileño con el paso de la Campana de la Demajagua por las universidades del país, que presidió el 8vo. Congreso de la FEU. Método: la revisión documental, la entrevista grupal y colectiva, sirven de base a la recogida y procesamiento de la información, como parte de la metodología de la investigación cualitativa, donde se potencia el método filosófico de la general a lo particular. Resultados: la participación del estudiantado universitario avileño en el homenaje a la Campaña la Demajagua. Conclusión: se expone la importancia que tuvo la gesta, liderada por Fidel; así como, la participación del estudiantado universitario en el homenaje a este símbolo patrio en el contexto actual, donde la universidad avileña estuvo representada.

    Introduction: The need to perfect the knowledge of history and its approach to the thoughts of the Historical Leader of the Revolution, leads to an investigation into the participation of this young man in the sociopolitical life of the country during his student years, to achieve an approach to the demands of today's university. Timely was the initiative of the University Student Federation (FEU) in 2007, to remember a historical event of transcendental importance to learn more about the feat undertaken by the university students led by Fidel Castro, in the defense of a national symbol that marks the beginning of the wars for the independence of Cuba. Objective: to reveal the importance of the action of the historical leader and its significance for young university students, as a foundation for knowledge of the History of Cuba, in particular that of Avila with the passage of the Demajagua Bell through the universities of the country, which he presided the eighth FEU Congress. Method: the documentary review, the group and collective interview, serve as a basis for the collection and processing of information, as part of the qualitative research methodology, where the philosophical method is enhanced from the general to the particular. Results: the participation of Avilanian university students in the tribute to the Demajagua Campaign. Conclusion: the importance of the feat, led by Fidel, is exposed; as well as the participation of the university students in the tribute to this national symbol in the current context, where the Avilanian University was represented.
