  Recién nacido prematuro de 26 semanas de gestación, ingresa en UCI neonatal tras reanimación cardiopulmonar (RCP) en paritorio. Portador de tubo endotraqueal con ventilación mecánica.

  A su llegada a la unidad, se monitorizan constantes vitales y se canaliza acceso venoso central de inserción periférica (epicutáneo). Se extrae analítica de sangre, hemocultivos y se realiza sondaje vesical.

  Tras su estabilización y administración de tratamiento farmacológico, se explica a la familia la gravedad de la situación y la importancia de su implicación durante todo el proceso de recuperación del recién nacido (RN).

  Premature newborn at 26 weeks of gestation, admitted to the neonatal ICU after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the delivery room. Endotracheal tube carrier with mechanical ventilation.

  Upon arrival at the unit, vital signs are monitored and peripherally inserted (epicutaneous) central venous access is canalized. Blood tests and blood cultures are drawn and a bladder catheterization is performed.

  After stabilization and administration of pharmacological treatment, the seriousness of the situation and the importance of their involvement during the entire recovery process of the newborn (NB) are explained to the family.
