    • In order to describe the current habits of watching movies and public perceptions about Colombian cinema, wedid a survey in four major cities through a quota sample of 150 individuals per city and 300 in Bogota, weightedaccording to the scale of each center. The sample has been standardized through telephone surveys and opinion.The survey asks about how to watch movies in cinema and how watch movies on family or others social areas. Thesurvey asked about the motivation for choosing a film, films geographical preferences, gender, number of moviesseen, through which screen, how to access a movie and who sees them, the essential elements for a good movie,and the more specific aspects of the Colombian cinema as remembrance, taste and adjective that best describes it.We get two types of results: comparable results with the consumer survey (2008) of DANE (National Department ofStatistics) and with the study about the preferences of the Colombian cinema (2000) of Napoleon Franco, and othersunique results about habits of watching movies and perceptions of Colombian cinema.
