Aemulatio especulativa no primeiro-romantismo alemão: o problema da universalidade contingente em Friedrich Schlegel

    Unsere Abhandlung untersucht die neue spekulative Bedeutung der Kategorie der Emulation, sowie sie in Schlegels Texten Rede an die Mytologie (2020a, 2016a)und Brief über den Roman (2020b, 2016b)dargestellt wird.Indem wir auf die Arbeiten Costa Limas (2007), Hansens (2019) und Franks (1982) zurückgreifen, schlagen wir vor, die neue Bedeutung der Emulation setzte drei hermeneutische Schritte voraus, die von Schlegel vollgezogen werden: die Entwicklung eines modernen Begriffs des Mythos, die Entdeckung der Geschichtlichkeit des Verstehens und die Entfaltung einer Ontologie der Zeit und der literarischen Formen.

    Our paper investigates how the meaning of aemulatio changes in Friedrich Schlegel's works Discourse  on  mythologie  (2020a,  2016a)  and Letter  on  the  novel  (2020b,  2016b). We propose,  in  dialogue  with  Costa  Lima  (2007),  Hansen  (2019)  and  Frank  (1982),  that  the  new meaning the concept of aemulatio achieves implies three hermeneutical steps: the development of a modern concept of myth, the discovery of the historicity of understanding and an ontology of time and literary forms. We suggest the speculative problem of the tradition describes a new status for the universality of forms, associated with the paradox of a contingent-universal.

    Investigamos a mudança no estatuto da categoria de emulação em Discurso sobre a mitologia (SCHLEGEL, 2020a, 2016a) e Carta sobre o romance (SCHLEGEL, 2020b, 2016b). Dialogando com Costa Lima (2007), Hansen (2019), Frank (1982), Bowie (2003), propomos que o novo estatuto alcançado pela aemulatio supõe a consideração de três passos hermenêuticos, operados no texto schlegeliano: elaboração de conceito moderno de mito, descoberta da historicidade do entendimento e desenvolvimento de ontologia do tempo e das formas literárias. Sugerimos como conclusão que o problema da tradição implica repensar o estatuto da universalidade das formas, por Schlegel assimilado ao paradoxo de um universal-contingente.
