This article is about artistic experience (the experience of art by the artists itself) in comparison with the scientific experience. Through out the gaze and the the observation look the way to understand nature and the world of men. Both ways of seeing are full of imagination and invention, in science as in art, in spite of the distinct finality the have.

Neste artigo pensa-se a experiência artística (a experiência da arte do ponto de vista do artista) num contraponto com a experiência científica. No olhar contemplativo e no olhar analítico fundam-se modos de aceder à natureza e de compreender o mundo dos homens. Este olhar está impregnado de imaginação e inventividade quer na ciência quer na arte, mesmo que a finalidade de ambas seja distinta.
