    La consagración de la iglesia del Monasterio de Santa Isabel la Real de Madrid fue un acontecimiento de gran relevancia para la historia de este patronato. Sin embargo, a pesar del proceso de cambio, este no se conoce en detalle. Por eso, esta investigación profundiza en las continuas modificaciones que sufrió el edificio a lo largo de la Edad Moderna, así como subraya la importancia de su templo como receptor de obra de los principales artistas de los siglos XVII y XVIII españoles. Además, se pone en valor la empresa que realizaron sus comitentes: la comunidad de monjas agustinas del cenobio, en especial la priora del convento. Esta y otras religiosas, vinculadas a núcleos de la realeza española o centros educacionales católicos de primer nivel, impulsaron la consagración del templo, siendo las auténticas promotoras del aspecto definitivo de la iglesia, que se mantuvo casi intacto hasta su destrucción en la Guerra Civil española.

    The consecration of the church of the Monastery of Santa Isabel la Real in Madrid was an event of great relevance for the history of this patronage. However, despite the change process, it is not known in detail. For this reason, this research delves into the continuous modifications that the building underwent throughout the Modern Age, as well as underlines the importance of its temple as a recipient of the work of the main artists of the 17th and 18th centuries in Spain. Furthermore, the company carried out by its clients is highlighted: the community of Augustinian nuns of the monastery, especially the prioress of the convent. This and other nuns, linked to centers of Spanish royalty or top-level Catholic educational centers, promoted the consecration of the temple, being the true promoters of the definitive appearance of the church, which remained almost intact until its destruction in the Spanish Civil War.
