Resumen de “Jesus Cristo é a maior onda!”: juventudes evangélicas e as vicissitudes da fé

Having the anthropology of moralities as a theoretical-methodological basis, the objective of this article is to analyze the media production of cultural goods carried out by evangelical artists, in order to reflect on the multiple social conditions of being young in churches as well as the transits that mark the experiences of faith throughout the course of these people’s lives. In particular, three trajectories of artists who experienced contradictory values, frustrated expectations and subjective fragmentations in their religious practices will be analyzed, resulting in “comings and goings” between the secular artistic world and churches during their youth, problematized in this text through the concept of interruptions.

Tendo como base teórico-metodológica a antropologia das moralidades, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar a produção midiática de bens culturais feita por artistas evangélicos, a fim de refletir sobre as múltiplas condições sociais de ser jovem nas igrejas bem como os trânsitos que marcam as experiências de fé ao longo do curso da vida dessas pessoas. Em particular, serão analisadas três trajetórias de artistas que experimentaram valores contraditórios, expectativas frustradas e fragmentações subjetivas em suas práticas religiosas, resultando em “idas e vindas” entre o mundo artístico secular e as igrejas durante a juventude, problematizadas neste texto por meio do conceito de interrupções.
