  This article discusses the knowledge of teaching with children from 0 to 3 years, aiming to understand, from their singularities, some of the specificities that make up teacher learning in the paths of academics in their initial formation. The methodological process comprised theanalysis of reports of internship and teaching practice developed in Pedagogy courses of two public universities in Rio Grande do Sul. From the analytical movement, two axes were identified: the first, about the insecurities and limiting ideas of who theyare and the capabilities of babies; the second, between the uncertainties of "how to", the difficulty of constructing contexts with children and the absence of daily actions. These findings are indicative of the necessary teaching knowledge and point out the need to contemplate more the specificity of the pedagogical action with infants and very small children in the courses of Pedagogy, with didactic possibilities that are potent for the reception of the singularities of children from 0 to 3 years.

  Este artigo reflete sobre os saberes da docência com crianças de 0 a 3 anos, visando compreender, a partir de suas singularidades, algumas das especificidades que compõem aprendizagens docentes nos percursos de acadêmicas em sua formação inicial. O processo metodológico compreendeu a análise de relatórios de estágio e de prática docente desenvolvidas em cursos de Pedagogia de duas universidades públicas do Rio Grande do Sul. A partir do movimento analítico, foram identificados dois eixos: o primeiro, acerca das inseguranças e ideias limitadoras de quem são e das capacidades dos bebês; o segundo, entre as incertezas do “como fazer”, a dificuldade de construir contextos com as crianças e a ausência de ações cotidianas. Tais achados constituem-se como indicativos dos saberes docentes necessários e apontam a necessidade de contemplar mais a especificidade da ação pedagógica com bebês e crianças bem pequenas nos cursos de Pedagogia, com possibilidades didáticas que sejam potentes para a acolhida das singularidades das crianças de 0 a 3 anos.
