El arrendamiento financiero o contrato de leasing (de alquiler con derecho de compra) es un contrato mediante el cual, el arrendador traspasa el derecho a usar un bien a cambio del pago de rentas de arrendamiento durante un plazo determinado al término del cual el arrendatario tiene la opción de comprar el bien arrendado pagando un precio determinado, devolverlo ó renovar el contrato. El Leasing no es más que un sistema de arrendamiento financiero con opción a compra, ya que muchas veces la cuota final que determina la opción de compra es del mismo valor que el resto.

The financial renting or contract of leasing (of rent with purchase right) is a contract by means of which, the landlord transfers the right to use or in exchange for the payment of rents of renting during a determined term at the end of which the renter has the option to buy or rented paying a determined price, to give back it or to renew the contract. Leasing is not more than a system of financial renting with option to purchase, since often the final quota that determines the purchase option is of he himself value that the rest.
