    En este artículo nos preguntamos si es necesario modificar el ámbito de actuación de los agentes encubiertos en España. Respondemos a esta pregunta analizando y exponiendo las razones por las cuales sí que se debería ampliar el ámbito de actuación de esta figura para que pueda investigar otros delitos. También se propone y se explica la forma más adecuada en que esta modificación podría ser materializada por nuestro legislador. Todo ello con el fin de ofrecer la oportuna cobertura legal y de poder proteger a los policías que llevan a cabo investigaciones muy complejas y peligrosas.

    In this article we ask whether there is a need to change the scope of undercover agents in Spain.

    We answer this question by analysing and explaining the reasons why the scope of the undercover agent should be extended to investigate other crimes. It also proposes and explains the most appropriate way in which this amendment could be implemented by our legislator. The aim is to provide the necessary legal cover to protect police officers carrying out highly complex and dangerous investigations.
