Resumen de Addressing sustainability competencies in engineering courses: an experience

An attempt to introduce competences related to Sustainable Development Goals has been carried out in two materials engineering courses of an engineering degree. As part of the tasks in the semester, students worked in a problem-based learning activity.
Mobile telephones and electric car were the core of the activities. Aside from the specific and soft skills described on the course guides, some points as raw critical materials, extreme conditions to extract some metals, the necessary use of hazardous materials and the environmental impact of consuming society where highlighted. Personal and common reflection on Sustainable Development Goals and the impact of technology and massive consume on them were promoted.
