Resumen de Enhancing Chemical Education through an Epoxy Resin Crafting Activity

• The epoxy resin crafting activity was developed as an educational initiative targeting undergraduate students and focused specifically on epoxy resin chemistry, functional groups, and polymerization reactions involved in combining epoxy resin Part A and Part B. The primary objective of this workshop was to provide students with a practical understanding of the underlying chemistry of epoxy resins and to highlight its relevance in the context of everyday life. Students gained insight into the practical applications of epoxy through a simple crafting activity using commercially available epoxy resin Parts A and B. Through participation in interactive activities that integrated chemistry and art, participants deepened their appreciation for and comprehension of the interdisciplinary nature of chemistry. Students returned positive feedback following the workshop, which indicated improvements in their knowledge of epoxy chemistry through this hands-on learning experience.
