    Esta investigación está orientada en un primer momento a conocer la viabilidad y propuesta de un diseño de sistema de seguridad que busca reducir el riesgo de mortalidad de la tropa, ayudando a detectar la presencia del enemigo por medio de la implementación de un conjunto de detectores de metales ubicados alrededor del puesto del centinela, el cual emitirá una alerta que servirá para darle aviso sobre la violación del perímetro, detectando a una persona con algún tipo de elemento metálico (cuchillo, pistola, granada) que pueda traer. Esta propuesta es de gran importancia debido a que la seguridad de las tropas no es del todo eficaz dentro de cualquier área donde se ubiquen. El objetivo principal es proponer un diseño de sistema de seguridad perimetral para las unidades militares del Ejército Nacional, conociendo inicialmente la viabilidad de la propuesta con intención de brindar la posibilidad de detectar a tiempo una amenaza y así neutralizarla para evitar un fracaso operacional. La metodología desarrollada fue de enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptiva, aplicando encuestas dirigidas a alumnos, y entrevistas a soldados con conocimientos en detectores de metales. Como principales resultados se encontró que años atrás existía en el Ejército Nacional un sistema de alertas tempranas, pero con métodos muy ortodoxos; además, se identificó que los centinelas están expuestos a ser atacados durante su prestación de servicio.

    This research is oriented at first to know the feasibility and proposal of a security system design that seeks to reduce the risk of troop mortality by helping to detect the presence of the enemy, through the implementation of a set of metal detectors located around the sentinel post, which will issue an alert that will serve to notify you of the violation of the perimeter, detecting a person with some type of metallic element (knife, gun, grenade) that they may bring. This proposal is of great importance because the security of the troops is not entirely effective within any area where they are located. The main objective is to propose a perimeter security system design for the military units of the National Army, initially knowing the viability of the proposal with the intention of providing the possibility of detecting a threat in time and thus neutralizing it to avoid operational failure. The methodology developed was a qualitative approach of a descriptive type, applying surveys directed at a staff of students and interviews with soldiers with knowledge of metal detectors. As main results, it was found that years ago there was an early warning system in the national army, but with very orthodox methods, in addition, it was identified that the sentinels are exposed to being attacked during their service provision.
