La presente investigación tiene como propósito determinar “el estilo de vida y la dinámica familiar en pacientes con Insuficiencia Renal Crónica en tratamiento de Hemodiálisis en el Hospital “Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social – Ambato (IESS)”, ya que la presencia de esta enfermedad provoca alteraciones de forma física, psicología, emocional y social al paciente, debido a que continuamente deben asistir a los tratamientos sustitutivos renales, causando transformaciones en su vida diaria, limitaciones médicas y restricciones en la ingesta de comidas, por lo cual es indispensable el involucramiento y apoyo de la familia.
La metodología que se utilizó en el proceso investigativo fue la correlacionar que permite medir el grado de relación de la variable independiente y dependiente, mediante los datos estadísticos obtenidos a través de la encuesta, donde se valorara aspectos del paciente y la familia, de manera cualitativo – cuantitativo sobre la realidad de los involucrados.
Durante la aplicación de los cuestionarios a pacientes y familiares se obtuvo la información necesaria para llevar en efecto la propuesta y conocer el estilo de vida de los pacientes renales y su influencia en la dinámica familiar que ayudara a fortalecer las interrelaciones, el apoyo y el acompañamiento familiar.
La presente propuesta de la investigación es la creación de un protocolo de intervención de Trabajo Social con pacientes con Insuficiencia Renal Crónica (IRC) en tratamiento de Hemodiálisis y sus familias en el Hospital IESS de Ambato, de esta manera se velaría una atención integral por medio de la intervención del equipo multidisciplinario, lo cual generara una adecuada calidad de vida tanto a los pacientes y las familias, donde se integraran en los procesos de valorizaciones médicos y en los talleres informativo, con el fin de formar grupos de apoyo.

The present research aims to determine "lifestyle and family dynamics in patients with Chronic Renal Failure in Hemodialysis treatment in the Hospital" Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security - Ambato (IESS) ", since the presence of this disease causes Physical, psychological, emotional and social changes to the patient, because they must continually attend renal substitution treatments, causing changes in their daily lives, medical limitations and restrictions on food intake, which is why involvement and Family support.
The methodology that was used in the investigative process was the correlation that allows to measure the degree of relation of the independent and dependent variable, through the statistical data obtained through the survey, where aspects of the patient and the family were assessed qualitatively - quantitative on the reality of those involved.
During the application of the questionnaires to patients and relatives, the necessary information was obtained to carry out the proposal and to know the lifestyle of the renal patients and their influence on the family dynamics that will help to strengthen the interrelations, the support and the accompaniment family.
The present proposal of the investigation is the creation of a protocol of intervention of Social Work with patients with Chronic Renal Insufficiency (CRI) in treatment of Hemodialysis and their families in the Hospital IESS of Ambato, in this way an integral attention would be ensured by means Of the intervention of the multidisciplinary team, which will generate an adequate quality of life both for patients and families, where they will be integrated in the processes of medical valuations and in the informative workshops, in order to form support groups.
