Análisis del desarrollo de la oralidad en dos manuales de español con fines específicos: una aproximación cuantitativa

    El análisis de materiales didácticos en los contextos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de lenguas ha sido un medio efectivo para examinar la realidad ejecutiva y pedagógica de manuales o libros de texto para observar si existe coherencia en su realidad ejecutiva y los propósitos de aprendizaje planteados. Una de las áreas que requiere este tipo de estudio es el Español con Fines Específicos (EFE), ya que se ha observado que las competencias orales suelen ser las menos trabajadas en estos contextos de enseñanza de lenguas. Este avance de investigación plantea un análisis descriptivo, de corte cuantitativo, a través de una revisión externa de dos manuales de EFE, seleccionados bajos los parámetros de, por una parte, abordar las áreas de negocios y turismo, por la otra, que se enfocaran en el nivel B1 de lengua de acuerdo al Marco Común de Referencia Europeo. Para esto se cuantificó el número de enunciados de actividades en cada manual y luego, a través de los verbos principales en ellos, se clasificaron las actividades propuestas en estos enunciados por habilidad lingüística trabajada. Esto con el propósito de realizar un recuento descriptivo del comportamiento metodológico de cada manual a partir de los enunciados de sus actividades. Los resultados muestran una tendencia más bien clara que favorece las actividades que promueven habilidades de comprensión y producción escrita.

    The analysis of didactic materials in language teaching and learning contexts has been an effective means to examine the operational and pedagogical reality of textbooks to observe whether there is coherence in their operational reality and the stated learning objectives. One of the areas that requires this type of study is Spanish for Specific Purposes (SSP), since it has been observed that speaking skills tend to be the least worked on in these language teaching contexts. This research update proposes a descriptive, quantitative analysis, through an external review of two SSP textbooks, selected under the parameters of, on the one hand, addressing the areas of business and tourism, on the other, that they focus at level B1 of language according to the Common European Framework of Reference. For this, the number of activity statements in each manual was quantified and then, through the main verbs in them, the activities proposed in these statements were classified according to the linguistic skill they propose to be worked on. This is for the purpose of making a descriptive account of the methodological behavior of each manual based on the statements of its activities. The results show a rather clear trend that favors activities that promote written comprehension and production skills.
