    Este artículo busca reflexionar acerca de los actores y factores responsables de la ausencia o escasa relación en el diálogo entre la academia y la ciudad. Esa es la principal materia que pretende abordar este estudio, además de documentar la producción de un gesto editorial de la revista COTA, que intenta colaborar en el encuentro entre ambas instancias para propiciar un crecimiento intelectual, cultural y democrático de la sociedad en la ciudad.

    Revista COTA ha sido comprendida, desde sus inicios, como una publicación académica y profesional sobre la ciudad, pero dedicada al público general. Esto marca una diferencia con otras publicaciones del mismo ámbito, pues se plantea fomentar la apertura del conocimiento sobre la actualidad de nuestra ciudad y arquitectura en una publicación innovadora y creativa, así como constituirse en un instrumento de difusión de trabajos generados, tanto en el ámbito académico como en el desarrollo profesional de cada disciplina. Estimular en el ciudadano la lectura de la visión crítica y la construcción de una mirada multidisciplinar sobre la ciudad para fortalecer su compromiso hasta mejorar la convivencia con el espacio habitado.

    A la fecha, ya son 20 números publicados, con tres mil ejemplares hasta la edición nº11 y luego, en tirajes mas acotados por número. Surge, así, la necesidad de evaluar y hacer un seguimiento de la puesta en marcha del proyecto Revista COTA; si ha logrado cumplir con los objetivos editoriales, identificando, por ejemplo, los criterios de evaluación de distintos grupos, tales como columnistas, lectores y grupos académicos. Con esto se busca potenciar el medio y proyectarlo, según los resultados de la evaluación. Lo anterior se plantea, también, como un modo de pasar de lo mono disciplinar a lo multi o trans-disciplinar, en un espacio que permita una mirada más colaborativa entre las especialidades, siempre desde el rol de la arquitectura como disciplina madre que invita a desarrollar temáticas que le son propias, pero convergentes con otras.

    This manuscript seeks to show and reflect on the factors and actors that generate an absence or little relationship in the dialogue between the academy and the city, it is the main subject that this study tries to address, in addition to documenting the production of an editorial gesture of the magazine COTA, which tries to collaborate in the meeting between both instances to generate an intellectual, cultural and democratic growth of society in the city.

    Cota Magazine has been understood since its inception as an academic and professional publication on the city, but dedicated to the general public, thus marking the difference with other publications in the same field, considering promoting the opening of knowledge about the current situation of our city and architecture. in an innovative and creative publication; establish itself as an instrument for the dissemination of works generated both in the academic field and in the professional development of each discipline; as well as to stimulate in the citizen the reading of the critical vision and the construction of a multidisciplinary look on the city; and finally strengthen the commitment of readers and citizens and improve coexistence with the inhabited space.

    To date there are already seven editions published, with a print run of three thousand copies per number, thus arising the need to identify if the start-up of the Revista Cota project has managed to meet the editorial objectives for which it was established, created, recognizing in turn, what have been the elements valued by columnists, readers andacademic groups regarding the initiative, allowing with this information to strengthen the project and project itself in a concrete sense and in order with the expectations that arise from the study.

    The foregoing is also considered as a way of moving from the monodisciplinary to the multi or trans-disciplinary, in a space that would allow others to obtain a more collaborative look between the specialties, always from the role of architecture as a discipline. mother who invites to develop themes that are her own but converge with others.
