Resumen de El diseño curricular y el perfil del egresado de la Universidad Técnica del Manabí

  La sociedad actual demanda de profesionales, que respondan a las necesidades de los cambios sociales. De allí, la responsabilidad del sistema de educación superior en entregarle profesionales con un perfil que este en correspondencia. A tal efecto, el presente artículo tuvo como propósito describir la relación entre el diseño curricular y el perfil de egreso de los estudiantes de la Universidad Técnica del Manabí. La metodologia utilizada fue de tipo descriptiva y de campo con un diseño no experimental. El instrumento utilizado fue un cuestionario estructurado, con una escala tipo lickerd. La población estuvo constituida por 90 estudiantes de los tres últimos semestres de las distintas carreras que se ofrecen en la universidad   y 15 docentes de planta. Los resultados del análisis de los datos aportados por los investigados, permitieron concluir que existe un desfase parcial entre el diseño curricular actual y el perfil del futuro profesional, desvinculándolo de la demanda real de la sociedad.

  Today's society demands professionals, who respond to the needs of social changes. Hence, the responsibility of the higher education system to deliver professionals with a profile that is in correspondence. To this end, the purpose of this article was to describe the relationship between the curricular design and the graduation profile of the students of the Technical University of Manabí. The methodology used was descriptive and field with a non-experimental design. The instrument used was a structured questionnaire, with a lickerd-type scale. The population was constituted by 90 students of the last three semesters of the different careers that are offered in the university and 15 teachers of plant. The results of the analysis of the data provided by the researchers allowed us to conclude that there is a partial lag between the current curricular design and the profile of the future professional, dissociating it from the real demand of society.
