    Las distrofias musculares son enfermedades primarias del músculo esquelético caracterizadas por tener un curso progresivo y hereditario. La enfermedad de Duchenne es la distrofia muscular más frecuente y la primera en ser descrita y caracterizada molecularmente. Se debe a un defecto en la distrofina. A continuación, veremos qué clínica nos puede hacer sospechar esta enfermedad y cómo llegar a su diagnóstico. No existe tratamiento farmacológico curativo.

    Muscular dystrophies are primary diseases of the skeletal muscle characterized by having a progressive and hereditary course. Duchenne disease is the most common muscular dystrophy and the first to be described and characterized molecularly. It is due to a defect in dystrophin.
