Trescientos años de historia...: entre militares y civiles

    Son exactamente tres siglos, el tiempo transcurrido entre la implantación del Estado Colonial en territorio venezolano y el nacimiento de aquel movimiento liderado por una de las generaciones, más brillante que hasta el presente haya conocido nuestra historia nacional: La Junta Patriótica. Esa que puso negro sobre blanco los elementos fundantes de los metarrelatos y los metadiscursos, con los cuales el liderazgo político, fundamentalmente el militar, enarboló las banderas de la lucha por la Emancipación de la patria. De allí para los historiadores, en cuyas fábulas sólo existen espacios para la historiografía militar abriendo y cerrando batallas y aquellas que no se dieron, no tienen importancia alguna para ellos, se las inventan como enciclopedistas. Incluso en su discursiva siempre afloran los nombres de: Bolívar, Páez, Miranda, hasta Sucre, omitiendo muchos más héroes públicos y otros anónimos. Es a esa opacidad, a la que en estas líneas, se quiere borrar sin ningún sentido revanchista, sino de hacer honor para quienes dignamente lo merecen.

    It is exactly three centuries, the time elapsed between the implantation of the Colonial State in Venezuelan territory and the birth of that movement led by one of the generations, more brilliant than our national history has known up to now: The Patriotic Junta. The one that put black on white the founding elements of the meta-narratives and meta-discourses, with which the political leadership, fundamentally the military, raised the flags of the struggle for the Emancipation of the homeland. Hence, for historians, in whose fables there are only spaces for military historiography opening and closing battles and those that did not take place, they have no importance for them, and they invent them as encyclopedists. Even in his discursive the names of: Bolívar, Páez, Miranda, even Sucre, omitting many more public heroes and other anonymous ones. It is this opacity that these lines want to erase without any sense of revenge, but rather to do honor to those who worthily deserve it.
