    El propósito de este trabajo pretende examinar críticamente los principios fundamentales de la filosofía del arte en diversos períodos claves de la historia de Occidente, a fin de comprender los antecedente de dos de las más importantes corrientes contextualistas contemporáneas para el estudio de la creación, difusión y recepción de los valores estéticos. El diseño metodológico que conducirá el presente esfuerzo investigativo, se hará con una propuesta de trabajo orientada hacia la construcción de un enfoque constructivista, vivencial y comunitario que ha de utilizar el método etnográfico. En este sentido en otro momento se marcará el referente teórico la cual sustentara el objeto de estudio, a través dos enfoques: uno estético y otro cultural, con interpretaciones sobre las descripciones que algunos autores han realizado, para explicar el origen de esta cultura africana en Latinoamérica y específicamente en la Venezuela caribeña, desde una perspectiva estética. Seguidamente el desarrollo temático expondrá la presencia de la danza africana en Latinoamérica y su influencia en la cultura popular venezolana. Finalmente se presentaran los análisis conclusivos y posibles aportes para una futura reflexión.

    The purpose of this work intends to critically examine the fundamental principles of the philosophy of art in various key periods of Western history, in order to understand the background of two of the most important contemporary contextualist currents for the study of creation, dissemination and reception of aesthetic values. The methodological design that will lead this investigative effort will be made with a work proposal oriented towards the construction of a constructivist, experiential and community approach that must use the ethnographic method. In this sense, at another time, the theoretical reference that will support the object of study will be marked, through two approaches: one aesthetic and the other cultural, with interpretations of the descriptions that some authors have made, to explain the origin of this African culture in Latin America and specifically in Caribbean Venezuela, from an aesthetic perspective. Next, the thematic development will expose the presence of African dance in Latin America and its influence on Venezuelan popular culture. Finally, the conclusive analyzes and possible contributions for future reflection will be presented.
