Resumen de Influencia de la marea, el viento y el aporte fluvial en la circulación de las aguas de la Bahía de Cienfuegos, Cuba

  Se presentan los resultados obtenidos en la evaluación cuantitativa de la influencia de las mareas, el viento y los aportes fluviales en la circulación de las aguas de la bahía de Cienfüegos a partir de la modelación numérica y su comparación con estudios previos. Se describe el patrón general de circulación horizontal y vertical, determinándose las áreas de mayor importancia desde el punto de vista hidrodinámico. Se concluye que el intercambio está dado fundamentalmente por los flujos que entran y salen cada vez con las mareas, el aporte fluvial eleva su importancia en la misma medida que eleva su magnitud con relación a los flujos que representa el intercambio mareal. Los resultados obtenidos pueden de una herramienta útil para otras interpretaciones ecológicas, estudios ambientales ó la implementación de sistemas de alerta temprana en el área de estudio.

  It is show up the obtained results in the quantitative evaluation of the influence of the tides, the wind and the fluvial contributions in the circulation of the waters of Cienfüegos bay, starting from the numeric simulation and their comparison with previous studies. It is described the general water masses circulation in the vertical and horizontal plane, and it is also explained the main areas from the hydrodynamic point of view. It is concludes that the exchange is given fundamentally by the flows that enter and go out every time with the tides, the fluvial contribution elevates its importance in the same measure that elevates its magnitude with relationship to the flows that it represents the tides exchange. The obtained results can provide a useful tool for other ecological interpretations or environmental studies that are required in the study area.
