    El presente texto se propone exponer el sentido del silencio y su vinculación con lo trascendental como parte constitutiva del ser humano, como necesidad humana de traspasar las fronteras del habla que confecciona y delimita la realidad. Para esto se presentan las ideas y postulados de Gilles Lipovetsky y de Raimon Panikkar, quienes, acompañados por las voces secundarias de otros pensadores del siglo XX, defienden la necesidad de dirigir la existencia hacia dimensiones más profundas de las que nos ofrece la sociedad contemporánea, caracterizada por su ruidosa cotidianidad y apego a lo efímero.

    This text aims to expose the meaning of silence and its connection with the transcendental as a constitutive part of the human being, as a human need to cross the borders of speech that creates and delimits reality. For this, the ideas and postulates of Gilles Lipovetsky and Raimon Panikkar are presented, who, accompanied by the secondary voices of other thinkers of the 20th century, defend the need to direct existence towards deeper dimensions than those offered by contemporary society. characterized by its noisy everyday life and attachment to the ephemeral.
