Resumen de Emergencia sanitaria COVID-19, el camino que acelera el acceso abierto

  Al 18 de diciembre del 2020, los países que ocupan los primeros lugares en muertes por COVID-19 son Brasil Argentina, Colombia y México, por lo que urge acceder a la información de fuentes confiables sin restricciones, siendo este un tema de urgencia mundial y donde el acceso abierto también conocido como Open Access cobra aún más relevancia. Por lo que se presenta como hipótesis en este ensayo si “existe relación entre el impacto positivo al acceso abierto por la generación de información sobre el tema de la emergencia covid-19”, se abordaron los temas del impacto del COVID-19 en 4 de los países más afectados de América latina y el caribe y el proceso acelerado de investigación y publicación. Para ello se procedió a dar sustento en éste ensayo el cual se realizó de forma documental, permitiendo respetar las indicaciones de “quédate en casa” , se consultó, recopiló y seleccionó información de forma virtual, usando herramientas de búsqueda de la información en metabuscadores y bases de datos entre otros, encontrando noticias recientes y publicaciones de diversas fuentes confiables, entre los principales fuentes de consulta se seleccionó a organizaciones como la UNESCO, CLACSO, Organizaciones de los Estados Americanos, Naciones Unidas, entre otros y de instituciones editoriales se consultó a hemerotecas, entre las cuales resaltan Redalyc, Latindex y SciELO, buscadores académicos Microsoft Academic y Google Scholar, lo cual permitió seleccionar e identificar como principales resultados que el número de publicaciones respecto al tema de COVID-19 se duplicó con un promedio de 15 días, así ,mismo se identificó que en algunos países se crearon leyes y políticas sobre el acceso abierto, lo que permitió encontrar la respuesta de fondo de que esta emergencia COVID-19, es el camino que ha acelerado el acceso abierto en varios países, disponiendo así de mayor información, conocimiento e investigación.

Therefore, the hypothesis presented in this essay is whether "there is a relationship between the positive impact of open access and the generation of information on the issue of the covid-19 emergency", the topics addressed the impact of COVID-19 in 4 of the most affected countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and the accelerated process of research and publication. This essay was carried out in documentary form, allowing to respect the "stay at home" indications. information was consulted, compiled and selected virtually, using information search tools in metasearch engines and databases among others, finding recent news and publications from various reliable sources, among the main sources of consultation were selected organizations such as UNESCO, CLACSO, Organizations of American States, United Nations, among others, and editorial institutions were consulted in newspaper libraries, among which stand out Redalyc, Latindex and SciELO, Microsoft Academic and Google Scholar search engines, which allowed us to select and identify as main results that the number of publications on the topic of covid-19 doubled with an average of 15 days, and also identified that in some countries laws and policies on open access were created, which allowed us to find the basic answer that this covid-19 emergency is the path that has accelerated open access in several countries, thus making more information, knowledge and research available.
