This dissertation aims to establish the historical foundations on the existence of a personal nobility privilege granted to lawyers in the Crown of Aragon, limiting it to the territorial, historical and regulatory sphere of the Principality of Catalonia and the Principality of Andorra. Finally, the current validity of the privilege to the Catalan and Andorran legal system is analyzed
