    El Che Guevara, veía el desarrollo de la conciencia en interrelación dialéctica entre la teoría y la práctica revolucionaria, afirmando que “una de la condiciones esenciales del revolucionario, es saber interpretar la realidad”. Por ello consideraba que el desarrollo de la conciencia revolucionaria, debía estar en correspondencia con los fenómenos sociales que convulsionaban al mundo.El Che hacía mucho hincapié en el papel del individuo en la nueva sociedad. De ahí, su advertencia: “no utilizar las armas melladas del capitalismo, para construir el socialismo”.

    Hoy día, cuando se evidencia un retroceder de la izquierda latinoamericana es necesario acudir al pensamiento guevariano, y específicamente a la formación de un “hombre nuevo”, en medio de un mundo globalizado neoliberal.
