Londres: abrir el archivo a lo que nunca fue escrito: Iain Sinclair y la magia tranformativa del paseo

    Ante una evidente desmemoria u olvido institucional y en diálogo con los debates históricos contemporáneos entre la historia y la memoria, nos preguntamos cómo opera la memoria literaria para el conocimiento histórico procediendo a un diálogo intertextual de algunos fragmentos significativos de La ciudad de las desapariciones, Vivir con edificios y caminar con fantasmas o The last London de Iain Sinclair en diálogo con otros fragmentos textuales de las Tesis sobre el concepto de historia de Walter Benjamin. A partir de esta constelación textual se tratará de ver cómo este autor permite habitar espacios heterotópicos donde leer el tiempo asincrónico de forma sincrónica y de esta manera, romper con el continuum del tiempo vacío del progreso, permitiendo la vivencia de una experiencia estética que se hace cargo de las huellas que el discurso oficial ha dejado al margen y que reclaman todavía justicia histórica.

    In the face of an evident institutional obliviousness and in dialogue with contemporary historical debates between history and memory, we ask ourselves how literary memory works for historical knowledge by proceeding to an intertextual dialogue of some significant fragments of London: City of Disappearances, Living with Buildings and Walking with Ghosts or The last London by Iain Sinclair in dialogue with other textual fragments of Walter Benjamin's Theses on the Concept of History. From this textual constellation , we will try to see how this author allow us to inhabit heterotopic spaces where we can read asynchronous time in a synchronic way and, in this way, break with the continuum of the empty time of progress, allowing us to live an aesthetic experience that takes charge of the traces that the official discourse has left on the margins and that still demand historical justice.
