Resumen de Discriminación de roles en la cultura rastafari: Caso Cuba

Desde finales del siglo veinte Cuba ha sido escenario de reacomodaciones socioeconómicas con influencia reciproca en el campo sociocultural, esto indujo el surgimiento de reflexiones heterogéneas sobre la identidad nacional y la expansión de redefiniciones sobre el comportamiento ético-social. En este contexto alcanza su esplendor la cultura Rastafari, la cual constituye hoy parte del crisol de identidades cubanas. Este escrito propone el análisis de los roles de las mujeres rastafaris, particularmente durante las ceremonias nyahbinghis, para valorar su operacionalidad en el seno de los grupos rastas y su proyección fuera de ellos. Las observaciones fueron realizadas durante ceremonias celebradas en el periodo 1999- 2011. El escrito se estructura en dos acápites, el primero referido al surgimiento de la cultura Rasta y las ceremonias nyahbinguis en Cuba y el segundo a las expresiones discriminatorias de roles en los grupos rastas.

Since the late twenty century Cuba has been scene of socioeconomic re-accommodations with reciprocal influence at the sociocultural field, this induced the surging of heterogeneous reflections about national identity and the expansion of re-definitions on the ethical social behavior. In this context the Rastafari culture catches up with its splendor, which constitutes today depart from the crucible of Cubans’ identities. This article proposes the analysis of the roles of the rastafarian women during the nyahbinguis ceremonies, in order to appraise his operacionality within the pale of the rastas groups and their projection out of them. The observations were accomplished during the ceremonies celebrated in the period 1999 to 2011. The article it's structured in two departs, the first once about the surging of Rasta culture and nyahbinguis ceremonies in Cuba and the second one referred to the roles discriminatory expressions in the rastas groups.
