En el ensayo se habla de la importancia que tiene Franz Liszt en la música académica no solo de su época sino además en la de hoy en día, gracias a sus valiosas aportaciones e innovaciones que nos dejó. El trabajo artístico de Liszt es muy importante y así mismo poco valorado quizás porque la gente lo reconoce por “el gran virtuoso del piano” y cree que con eso es más que suficiente para darle un lugar dentro de los grandes artistas y músicos de la historia; sin embargo también hablaremos a grandes rasgos de su misterio creador basado en la literatura, retórica, danza, el arte plástico y la gran influencia de la obra “Fausto” de W. Goethe, la cual impacto rotundamente sobre otros grandes compositores como Schumann, Berlioz y Schubert entre otros; ésta obra no sólo marco el destino de su naturaleza creativa, sino también la idea filosófica de esta misma.

The essay discusses the importance of Franz Liszt in academic music, not only in his time but also in today's, thanks to his valuable contributions and innovations that he left us. Liszt's artistic work is very important and at the same time undervalued perhaps because people recognize him as "the great piano virtuoso" and believe that this is more than enough to give him a place among the great artists and musicians of history; however, we will also talk broadly about his creative mystery based on literature, rhetoric, dance, plastic art and the great influence of the work "Faust" by W. Goethe, which had a resounding impact on other great composers such as Schumann, Berlioz and Schubert among others; this work not only marked the destiny of his creative nature, but also the philosophical idea of it.
