  El investigador hidalguense Raúl Guerrero Guerrero dedicó su vida (entre otras cosas), al estudio y difusión de la cultura otomí del estado de Hidalgo, tanto del Valle del Mezquital (de donde él era oriundo) como de la Sierra Madre Oriental en su porción conocida como “Otomí-Tepehua”. Gran parte del conocimiento que ahora se tiene sobre la historia y la vida cotidiana de este pueblo (presente y vivo desde tiempos ancestrales) se debe a él. Este artículo ofrece un panorama sucinto de su obra sobre los otomíes y constituye un reconocimiento a su labor como pilar fundamental de la antropología mexicana.

  The researcher Raúl Guerrero Guerrero dedicated his life (among other things), to the study and dissemination of the otomí culture of the state of Hidalgo, both in the Valle del Mezquital (where he was originally from) and in the eastern Sierra Madre in its portion known as "Otomí-Tepehua". Much of the knowledge we now have about the history and daily life of this people (present and alive since ancient times) is due to him. This article offers a succinct overview of his work about the otomíes and constitutes an acknowledgment of his work as a fundamental pillar of the mexican anthropology.
