    Dentro de las variantes del liquen plano cutáneo, el subtipo lineal zosteriforme está incluido en las de menor frecuencia de aparición; por lo tanto, el reporte de su forma clínica confirmado por el resultado de patología de esta entidad inflamatoria debe ser tenido en cuenta como diagnóstico diferencial de otras condiciones patológicas que pueden adoptar este patrón de distribución.Exponemos el caso de una paciente femenina en la cuarta década de la vida, con un cuadro de cinco semanas de evolución de aparición de lesiones cutáneas de aspecto liquenoide, altamente pruriginosa, en quien se realizó confirmación histopatológica de la sospecha diagnóstica clínica; además, observamos mejoría significativa clínica al tratamiento con esteroide de alta potencia
