Resumen de Avaliação das práticas de sustentabilidade nas operações de serviço em uma instituição de ensino superior

  As Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) possuem papel social extremamente importante, são elas as responsáveis pelo local em que atuam, por formar cidadãos que contribuam para uma sociedade justa e solidária em seu entorno. As universidades podem envolver-se com o desenvolvimento sustentável no seu planejamento, gerenciamento, educação, pesquisa, operações, serviços comunitários, aquisição de materiais, transporte e infraestrutura; a presente pesquisa busca identificar práticas de operações sustentáveis em instituições de ensino superior, verificando a evolução histórica do tema de pesquisa, procurando conhecer ações geradas nas próprias instituições e em modelos de avaliações que possam ser adaptadas ao contexto educacional; sobre os recursos metodológicos a pesquisa referente aos objetivos é caracterizada como exploratório- descritiva, pois busca explorar um fenômeno e descrevê-lo em sua essência, o método utilizado na pesquisa é estudo de caso, no presente estudo é utilizada a pesquisa qualitativa; como resultados da literatura foi constatada uma crescente preocupação e organização por meio de várias declarações assinadas por universidades em várias partes do mundo a partir da década de 1990; nos modelos estudados foram identificados indicadores que corroboram para a construção do modelo de avaliação de operações sustentáveis aplicados em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior; e como conclusão verificou-se que mesmo a instituição sendo jovem já possui ações e metas a curto, médio e longo prazo.

  Higher Education Institutions have an extremely important social role. They are responsible by the social site, where they interact. They mold citizens who will contribute to a fair and fraternal society around them. Universities can engage with sustainable development in their planning, management, education, research, operations, community services, procurement of materials, transportation and infrastructure. The present research seeks to identify practices of sustainable operations in Higher Education Institutions, by observing the historical evolution of each researched theme; trying to know not only the actions generated in the heart of such institutions, but also evaluation models that can be adapted to the educational context. Regarding methodological features, the research, concerning to its goals, is characterized as exploratory-descriptive, because it seeks to explore a phenomenon and describe it in its essence. The method used in the research is inductive. In this study, the qualitative research is employed. As results of existing literature, not only a growing general concern was observed, but also organization through various affidavits signed by universities in several parts of the world, since the 1990s. In the studied models, important indicators were identified, and they give support for the construction of the “sustainable operations evaluation model” applied at the Higher Education Institution; as conclusion, it was found that, even being a young institution; it already has actions for short, medium and long-term goals.
