La comprensión y la narración pueden ser consideradas como el centro de gravedad de la obra de Hannah Arendt y de Primo Levi. A pesar de que ambos manejaban un aparato interpretativo diferente y partían de experiencias vitales distintas, este artículo pretende evidenciar los puntos de contacto entre el pensamiento de ambos autores, en particular por lo que se refiere a su acercamiento a la comprensión y a la responsabilidad, al lugar que ocupan en su obra pasiones como la indignación o la esperanza. Asimismo, intenta mostrar paralelismos y nexos entre el tipo de aproximación que los dos pensadores hacen del colapso moral producido por el nazismo.

Understanding and narration can be considered the center of gravity of the work of Hannah Arendt and Primo Levi. Although both used a different interpretive apparatus and started from different life experiences, this article aims to highlight the points of contact between the thoughts of both authors, particularly with regard to their approach to understanding and responsibility, to the place that passions such as indignation or hope occupy in his work. Likewise, it tries to show parallels and links between the type of approach that the two thinkers make of the moral collapse produced by Nazism.
