This paper examines the unique representations of the separated heads on the ground line on the columns and gateways in the temple entryways associated with the Sed-festival. An analysis of the scenes shows that here are mutual iconographical and religious characteristics between this motif and the chthonic deity Aker. The focal point of the research is to study the known representations of these heads and present an additional hypothesis of attributing them to Aker.
